Kotoko Receives Massive Boost In Pursuit To Sign Justice Blay As Medeama Reduces Fee

Asante Kotoko has been given a huge boost in the pursuit to sign Justice Blay following Medeama SC’s decision to reduce the price tag of the midfielder from $100,000 to $50,000.

The highly-rated midfielder spent the past year with the Porcupine Warriors club on a season-long loan from the Tarkwa-based club.

At the end of his stint with Kotoko a couple of months ago, Justice Blay returned to Medeama SC. Having had an outstanding campaign with the Kumasi-based club, the Reds have since been chasing after his signature.

Initially, Medeama SC valued the in-demand midfielder at $100,000 after Asante Kotoko made an offer of $20,000.

The latest information gathered from Pure Sports has revealed that the officials of the Yellow and Mauves club have through an email to Kotoko indicated that they have reduced the fee of the player to $50,000.

In line with that, Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah is set to meet with Medeama SC officials to complete a deal that will see Justice Blay joining the Ghana Premier League record-holders before the start of the next football season. .
