KP Boateng Applauds Besiktas Teammates After Crucial Win Against Konyaspor
Ghana international KP Boateng has applauded the team effort of his Besiktas side in their important 3-0 win against Konyaspor on Friday night.
The Black Eagles hosted Konyaspor at the Vodafone Park this evening in a Matchday 29 fixture of the 2019/2020 Turkish Super Lig season.
Determined to pick up maximum points to enhance their quest for European competition next season, the Besiktas team set-up strong and scored twice before the halftime break.
Goals from Burak Yilmaz and Abdoulay Diaby on the 40th and 45th minute respectively underlined the superiority of the home team in the first half.
Despite having their moments, Konyaspor could not cause any real threat before conceding a third goal courtesy a strike from Jeremain Lens.
Later in the second half, KP Boateng who recently recovered from a minor injury was introduced into the game as he enjoyed some minutes.
Tweeting after the crucial 3-0 win today, the on-loan Fiorentina has commended his teammates.
He shared, “Solid team win. C’mon”.
Since joining Besiktas in January, KP Boateng has made 9 appearances and has 2 goals to the good.
