Ebusua Dwarfs Players Ready For GPL Restart

The playing body for Ebusua Dwarfs says they are ready to get going should the Ghana Premier League resume anytime soon.

The Cape Coast-based club is one of the worst-performing clubs in the Ghanaian top-flight league this season. Having played 15 matches before the campaign was put on hold, they only managed to pick up 15 points and sit 16th on the standings of the division.

In the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis after more than two months break from football, players of the club say they are ready to play.

“We are always ready to play because it's our job, but let's all wait for the FA to decide. Dwarfs alone can't change anything if the FA takes any decisions”, captain for Ebusua Dwarfs, Denis Nkrumah Korsah has said in an interview with West FM.

He added, “We the players can't decide for the FA to cancel or continue the league, we always act as players. If the FA has proper options for us to continue the league we are ready".

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in talks with the government and other stakeholders as they look for a way to smoothly complete the 2019/2020 football season which will see everyone protected from contracting the Covid-19 disease.
