Dr. Kwaku Frimpong Chairs Ashanti Gold SC New Board

Modernghana Sports can report that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has been made the Chairman for Ashanti Gold’s new board.

The business mogul who is the majority shareholder for the Miners has been at the forefront running the club for the past few years until recently when he stepped down as the club’s president following a falling out with supporters of the team.

With the club now taking a new direction on the back of the stepping down of Chief Executive Officer Frederick Acheampong, they have decided to form a new board.

A statement available with Modernghana Sports has confirmed that Dr. Kwame Frimpong has been made the chairman of the board of directors.

His appointment is for a term of 2 years but can be renewed before it expires on April 26, 2020.

Dr. Kwaku Frimpong’s primary responsibility will be to participate in the development of policies and take major decisions for the club at board meetings.
