Alajo North Assemblyman Promise To Tackle Sanitation, Insecurity

The newly elected Assembly Member for the Alajo North Electoral Area in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly, Ibrahim Halidu has pledged to help tackle the issues of sanitation and insecurity in the area.

Mr. Halidu who was sworn in last week at the Municipal office in Kokomelemele, Accra promised to work with the Municipal Assembly, Religious bodies, schools and the people in the area to help make the area clean.

When asked about how he was going to help address the issue of insecurity, he indicated that his office was going to partner with the District Police office to help address the security challenges facing the area.

His office with the support of the Assembly will help fix more street lights and also fix the faulty ones in the community.

The Assembly Member also has plans of developing and empowering the youth in the area through a partnership with other stakeholders.

He urged residents of the area to support him with ideas on how to collectively bring development to the community.

Mr. Ibrahim Halidu beat four others to become the Assemblyman for the newly created Alajo North Electoral Area in the December 7 District Level Elections.

He is a Youth leader, an Entrepreneur and was a Unit Committee member in the last Assembly for the area.

The Area is one of the Twelve (12) Electoral Areas in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region.
