Ghanaian Footballers Should Invest In Their Career – Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghana coach, James Kwesi Appiah has said the current Ghanaian footballers should do massive investment during their playing career to ensure that they don’t face financial difficulties when they end their footballer career.

He explained that such an intervention would help curtail the challenges some football players faced when they finally hang their boots.

“The lessons we’ve learned from some Ghanaian footballers is that what plans do they have if they retire from football?”

“Life after football is not easy so Ghanaian footballers should do well and invest in the career and make sure after football their life will not be miserable,” James Kwesi Appiah exclusively told Gideon Okyere Anim (Gattuso) on Accra-based Kingdom TV.

It is natural that not all of them can continue to be in football like coaches, etc.

Kwesi Appiah also advised players to do more for themselves and invest their earnings while in active service so that when they retire, they can have something to fall back on.

According to him, there is a need for players to move a step further by making prudent investment decisions during their active playing days.

Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah is set to launch his first book, “Leaders Don’t Have to Yell”.
