Akufo Addo, Ghana Is For Ghanaians, Not For Your Relatives Only

Nepotism is a term used to refer to favouring relatives or close friends over more qualified people, usually with regard to appointments or promotion of public and political positions.

In order to understand how nepotism has changed the political landscape of Ghana today, you need to visit Nana Akufo Addo’s government, the Ghanaian leader has the organization of state structures based on representatives of one tribe or his family.

In the pursue of the ethnic-chauvinistic policy, the current Ghanaian leader, Nana Akufo Addo, has strongly built the foundation of the country on nepotism, which is closely associated with tribalism, the authoritarian state structure of the vast majority of African countries.

The main problem with all theories that explain tribalism and authoritarianism is the backwardness of Ghana in economic and socio-cultural terms.

In a government, run by a family, Nana keeps every relative involved in corruption scandals and if the person is inefficient, just to save his party from disgrace but there is no government that can flourish under an administration that covers up crime and scandals.

What I have observed carefully about Akufo Addo is he doesn’t know what shame is. I don’t know who he consults before he makes decisions because amidst the economic turmoil, poor judiciary system and deeply rooted in corruption, his inefficient administration and a section of the Ghanaian population think he is doing well.

There's No More Hardship Under Akufo-Addo." That's the words of a Finance Minister, who was once interested to buy one of the collapsed banking institutions, how can he clearly see the suffering of common Ghanaians?

When Akufo Addo came into power, he made many promises, including the promotion of human rights, equality, job appointments on the basis of merit and economic reforms, what Ghanaians are seeing now of which many find it hard to speak the truth is horror and catastrophe.

Apart from the free education he implemented, Ghanaians are really facing very tough economic hardships, between poor leadership and weak-corrupt judiciary system.

Homes have straightforward stories to tell. The set up of our homes immediately conveys the message to a visitor, the nature, and character of those dwelling there and the sort of training or life they acquired from it.

I wasn’t surprised at all, the day, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe Jr, who wants to pull me down or kick me from the columnists of ModernGhana news site, with false names, always targets my articles with negative comments, did mention in a comment that his uncle is Akufo Addo.

Like Akufo Addo, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is a strong tribalistic, dwelling in the realms of nepotism. How many times this man has insulted Fantes? Too numerous to count.

I know Kevin Taylor is a journalist but we have never met before, yet Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe insulted both Kevin Taylor and me at the same time through comments under my article. Why?

The spy tool I am using here indicated the IP address of the country where the comment came from and it was Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe Jr, who said this: “Just as we are heading towards elections in Ghana, a partisan and corrupt Fante like Joel Savage and Kevin Ekow Taylor will collect money from Mahama to spew nonsense as a propaganda campaign for the Mahama/NDC. Meanwhile, he is Belgium.”

Yet, this is a columnist on ModernGhana news, known for his hatred and trash articles against the entire NDC party and John Mahama. What a hypocrite?

This man who claims he holds a Ph.D, didn’t only insult Fantes but also insulted my dead mother in her grave and my family’s name, asking readers if they understand the word 'Savage,' yet in my life, I have never seen someone with such an ugly name. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, I have made it better for him, Kwame Okuronfuo-Akyiri Jr.

Both Akufo Addo and his nephew dwell on pure tribalism, jealousy, and ignorance. Because of his primitiveness and tribalistic nature, Okoampa-Ahoofe opens his mouth like a fish out of water. He talks anyhow without thinking of what he says. This has generated pure hate for Akufo Addo.

There are many people who commit criminal acts and their absurd behaviours force us to ask, where do the criminal acts come from? There are so many theories about criminality, however, I believe some criminal activities might be hereditary or passed on from the DNA of their ancestors.

Ghanaians can be happy about free education in Ghana but the reality is there is no country built on nepotism and tribalism that can flourish. In fact, the two diseases will definitely retard the growth of Ghana.
