Definitely More Room for CSE than Anyidoho Thinks

The last time that I checked, Mr. Koku Anyidoho was a radical revolutionary terror-monger fiercely fighting to unseat the democratically elected Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), so I am really having a hard time reconciling the preceding career of the former Deputy General-Secretary of the country’s main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) with Mr. Anyidoho’s apparently new-found Judeo-Christian religious faith, now that the subject of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) has assumed topmost priority in our national discourse on the pedagogy of human sexuality in our public Basic School System (See “Noah’s Ark and the Existence of Humanity: No Room for CSE!!!” Ghanaweb.com 10/27/19).

You see, I have always believed that the half-Sierra Leonean nephew of the late Prof. Kofi Nyidevu Awoonor was a veritable political charlatan. And Mr. Anyidoho clearly proves this contention right in his afore-referenced article that pontifically seeks to both demonize and bestialize LGBTQI people. Well, the first problem that the inveterate archnemesis of former President John Agyekum-Kufuor has on this discursive subject is squarely predicated on the patent falsehood that, somehow, both Mr. Anyidoho and Ghanaian culture, at large, originate from the Judeo-Christian culture and tradition. No such mythological presumption could be at once more patently false and a flagrant historical absurdity.

The fact of the matter is that most of our major indigenous African cultures far precede and/or antedate the approximately 6,000-year-old history of the Judeo-Christian tradition and culture. So, it simply could not be that the overwhelming majority of Ghanaian nationals and citizens inherited our cultural heritage from the people who have been globally acknowledged to be the so-called People of the Book, although there appears to be incontrovertible evidence that at least the Akan-majority populace of Ghana is largely Semitic. And on the latter count, of course, it bears promptly pointing out that being Semitic is absolutely in no way synonymous with being Jewish or an heir of the biblically centered religion and culture of present-day Jews. Indeed, the slavocratic Trokosi Nationalist Culture is highly likely the culture that Mr. Anyidoho appears to mischievously confuse with Bible-centered Judaism, which really has little or absolutely nothing to do with Ghanaian and African cultures.

If anything at all, the sort of culture on which the critic claims to have inherited his moral authority to both demonize and bestialize LGBTQI people may actually be a very poor imitation of our proto-African cultures. For example, it is a global open-secret that the so-called Ten Commandments of the Jewish Bible were cleverly fabricated out of at least some One-Hundred-and-Twenty Confessional Creeds of the Ancient Egyptians. Indeed, some scholars even believe that there were originally One-Hundred-and-Forty of such commandments, and not either Ten or even One-Hundred-and-Twenty Commandments. You see, you cannot simply teach that which you have absolutely no appreciable understanding of; and this is the problem of self-righteous ignoramuses like the former Deputy General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress.

And, by the way, there is absolutely no such job description as “Former Deputy General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress.” In short, Mr. Anyidoho had better secure himself a real 9-to-5 job, as New Yorkers are wont to say, if the sometimes virulently anti-Asiedu-Nketia coup-plotter wants to be taken seriously. Then also, the fact of the matter is that there is absolutely no scientific evidence anywhere in the world pointing to the fact of the historic Noah’s Flood’s having inundated our entire global community. Mr. Anyidoho actually gives a hint of being aware of this historically scientific fact; so, his dogmatic bunk about gender binarism is just that – absolute and sheer poppycock. Indeed, if Mr. Anyidoho really cared to study the Bible more critically and scholastically, rather than literally or “fundamentalistically,” he would have long realized that there preexisted a larger or greater global community outside of Eden, than the one with which the Judeo-Christian community has been unscientifically indoctrinated.

Which was why, for example, an Eden-deported Cane is reported in the Old Testament to have expressed the morbid fear of being murdered, in turn, if he ventured outside the geopolitical confines or boundaries of the first Judeo-Christian country in the world. It is also inexcusably preposterous for any Ghanaian adult, living both at home and abroad, to facilely suppose that banning the teaching of Comprehensive Sexuality Education to our cyber-savvy children and grandchildren is likely to protect these younger generations of technologically precocious humans from either coming into contact with or being influenced, either positively or negatively, by LGBTQI-oriented humans. The fact of the matter is that all creatures on this Earth, whether we choose to call them Satanic or Angelic, were created by one God/Divinity. Common sense ought to inform us about this inescapable fact. Humans are also potentially equally demonic and eudemonious. It is as simple as that.
