Ghanaian Chief Justice of the Gambia fird

The Ghanaian Chief Justice of the Gambia, Stephen Alan Brobbey, has reportedly been sacked.

Justice Brobby was seconded to the Gambia in July 2004 to head that country's judiciary.

But there have been reports that he has not had a good relationship with the country's president, Yahyah Jammeh and this might have accounted for his dismissal.

A formal notification from the Foreign Ministry to the Attorney General's Department said Justice Brobbey was sacked on February 6.
