Limited Voters Registration:hon.patrick Hockson Amponteng Visits Centres In Amenfi Central,

The District Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi Central Hon.Patrick Hockson Amponteng(P.H.) had paid a working visit to two of the registration centres in the District to monitor the exercise during which he interacted with registration Officials and representatives of political parties present to assess the effectiveness of the entire processes.

The limited voters' registration exercise took off on Monday June 17,2019 and is expected to end on Sunday 7,2019.

This exercise forms part of the commission's preparation towards the conduct of the 2019 District level elections and the 2020 general elections.

Hon.Patrick Hockson Amponteng also used the opportunity to interact with some of the prospective registrants who expressed delight and enthusiasm to participate in the ongoing registration exercise.

The centres visited were Agona-Amenfi(Chief Palace premises) and Manso Amenfi(post office).

The Hon.District Chief Executive in his interaction with the electoral commission Officer,Mr.Musah Taylor told them to speed up the process to ensure that no qualified applicant was denied the opportunity and also expressed concern over huge number of unregistered prospective voters waiting to be captured onto the process.

Hon.Patrick Hockson Amponteng however, expressed his satisfaction at what he had witnessed,called on the E.C.in view of the long queues in Manso Amenfi to do more to smoothen the process.

The District Chief Executive moreover paid a courtesy call to the Chief of Agona-Amenfi Nana Kwesi Brumia Sekyeresu II to show his appreciation to him for allowing the ongoing limited voters'registration exercise to take place in his premises.
