PRCC Urged To Deliver On Its Mandates

Mr. Jacob Tetteh Ahuno programmes Manager for Ghana Integrative Initiative (GII) has urged members of the Public Relations and Complaints Committee of District Assemblies to live up to their responsibility develop programmes that would explain and publicize policies of the Assemblies.

Mr. Ahuno threw the challenge when he addressed Members of the Tain District Assembly Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) and Social Auditing Club (SAC) members during stakeholder’s engagement on the Accountable Democratic Institutions and Systems Strengthening Project (ADISS).

According to him the PRCC have a lot of mandates that they need to carry out which includes promoting transparency, probity and accountability in the dealings of the Assembly with the public, etc.

He said letting people the resources at the disposal of the Assembly and how they have been utilized, showing evidence of development in terms of physical projects and delivery of quality service will ensure public trust and confidence of the public which go along way to help reduce corrupt practices in the country.
