The Man With A Double Face

The multifaceted nature of mankind has gone deplorable to the point that when he is entrusted he turns out to be treacherous. If he speaks, he tells a lie and when he promises, he breaks it. So does he emerges as the most quarrelsome anytime an altercation evolves. This is how the double-faced man has been unambiguously defined by the Prophets of God. These are the attitudes that we unfortunately execute in our routine affairs with relatives, friends and colleagues. But shamelessly, we are in the days that we have forgotten ourselves and consciously depicted the double-face perspective towards God’s decree. It is now the most common fad after the proliferation of social media in every home. Face one frowns and the other smiles depending upon the situation.

May be the time has come to demystify the sophisticated word ‘Double-Face'; its direct meaning is ‘hypocrisy’. After reading the various meanings that were given to it, it has dawn on me that when we say hypocrite post the ‘Stone Aged period', we mean this instead: "One who desecrates God in the wilderness but suddenly professes God's affability when his wishful desires seemed manifesting". A few of such appellations would be hoisted on his ‘what’s App' status in these manner [My God has done it for me. I know nobody but Him; He is truly Yahweh. I have relied on Him; Heaven bears witness of Me. ‘Olowogbogboro’ has turned it around for my good].

Not long ago, he was famously known as a melancholic following these spleens he had vented [I wish I was never born, life is full of distress. I pity myself, does God exists? Why do good things locate ungodly people? There's no need in worship. And being reticent and cursing anybody who reminds him of God]. The days that the hard rocks refuse to get quarried and disintegrated, your actions nearly subjected God's power to a mere ‘campaign promise'. So the disbelievers beguiled themselves that they are indeed on the right path by looking at your ways of distress. So you pranked their life the more and that is hypocrisy towards God's sovereignty!

The trend of being hysterical during strenuous days while forgetting the Creator is preposterous and I am in the banalities! Simply, God is worthy of all praises and worship, a believer is surely the blessed one, so you must not worship God and expect something in return. God is neither a 'Premiere Bet nor a client of the netizens, so that you could catch ‘Mogu’! If that is your belief, you would always be ungrateful whenever what you expect from God did not come your way or got disarrayed.

But when you have nothing in mind and all you know and do is being dutiful to God, the needful would follow, and that is the sequence of life. You are rewarded by nature in this world and the hereafter, the very moment you prioritize God consciousness. It is of these litanies of reasons why mayhem has sprung in our Churches and Mosque quite recently. Everybody is importuning for a miracle like a python lays an ambush to consume its prey. Our actions nowadays have made the Pastors and quack Malams rise to fame.

A poor woman is subjected to pay a gargantuan consultation fee unlike the amount she may have paid at the hospital to see a professional doctor. I wonder which Prophet requested for a consultation fee or may be Satan did. The services she would get from Ghana's finest nurses as compared to being bathed naked in the presence of a Lothario Malam who would check her engine oil and temperature in the guise of casting spells is incomprehensible! The fate of a woman who is lured by the incantations of a pastor, so she puts a glass of water just on the television, hoping that the mercies of the pastor and not God, would descend into the water and she gets an astonishing breakthrough. All these are various forms of hypocritical life we have shown to our Creator! Jesus had never said he would perform a miracle for someone before, never or I am oblivious! It has always been coincidental with events then he does something unexpected and we call it a miracle. But for now and the time being, at the eve of the occasion, it has already been spelt out, “A Night of Miracle", what! Do we own the power of miracle or God does? Or, was the miracle done unexpectedly because the poster has been explicit already, "Come for a Miracle"! We can now tell the source of the power.

If we make an effort of incorporating the real teachings of the obvious books into our life thenceforth, heaven would be the one yearning for us; we would acquire our ‘protocolship’ with God! We have allowed the so called Men of God to be trending with their indoctrinate tirades on Sundays and Fridays; salvation is no more tied to Jesus's (as) death but now to the cacophonous sale of ‘frytol oil'. And more focus is put on one's enemy than how one's life could be led to become a living testimony to the ungodly, perhaps for them to have a second look of things. I thought it was said that when evil destroy, good men build?

We are all caught in this and thus we need introspection to enable us unmasked the double face and maintain the actual face which we were born with it (man’s innate duty to God). It will make us appreciate God in good times, and in catastrophic days God would not be shunned. If you cannot interoperate good days and bad times to synchronize with Allah, then you are doing yourself no good and that inches your adamancy of keeping the real double face intact!

It is said that a chicken that hatches crocodile eggs is looking for trouble! Satan is the best hypocrite and his eggs are what the double faced man is hatching assiduously! I know you are aware that the hypocrites are those who shall receive the severest affliction on the Day of Judgment!
