Attitudinal Change Is The Lacking Ingredient For Ghana's Development

"Let us be citizens and not spectators" - President Akudo-Addo (2017)

The popular attitude of Ghanaians is a major factor to the retrogression of the nation's development.

It is the ultimate desire of Ghanaians to see Ghana matching the Western world in terms of development however, there seems to be no Ghanaian who is willing to mimic the attitudinal trend that the Western World has committed themselves to in order to get to their present destination.

Earlier this morning, in a trotro to Accra, a man neatly dressed was eating gari and beans in a rubber. After eating, he threw the rubber down at Pokuase station when the car stopped for passengers to alight.

I got out of the car, I picked the rubber then I threw it into the car.

I then told the man that anytime he finishes eating in a car, he should dump the waste in the car.

The man got mad at me that I've embarrassed him

It will amaze you to know that this man has ever complained or keep complaining about the dirt in our cities.

Who is to blame for the dirt in our cities, the government or ourselves?

Citizens are not willing to change their attitudes
Technocrats are not willing to change their attitudes

Politicians are not willing to change their attitudes

Does development come magically?
As the Holy Book says, seek ye the Kingdom of God first and all other things shall be added unto you.

Let us change our attitude towards our motherland and development will come as its end product

Ghana our motherland deserves better
