BECE Candidates In Ayalolo Receive Support From National Service

The National Service Scheme of the Accra Metro has presented some items to BECE candidates of the Ayalolo community to cushion them in the ongoing final year exams.

The items included Mathematical sets, Technical boards, Pens and Pencils and Boxes of water to the final year students (BECE candidates) of Ashia Mills JHS3, Ayalolo JHS3, and Amamomo JHS3 to support them.

According to Mrs. Margaret Frempong-Kore, the Metro Director of Education urged parents to encourage their wards to learn and they should also support them in terms of teaching them at home.

"Teachers can't do it alone, Parents can't do it alone, therefore parents and teachers should come together to train the child, because they are the future leaders," she said.

She added: "Children must be encouraged, especially the BECE candidates, if you encourage them, they will be fearless and avoid malpractices which often leads to cancelation of papers."

Mr. Allen Obeng Asare, NASPA and National President also encouraged the students not to engage in examination malpractices. Therefore, they should take a bold step to face life once and for all.

"We have been where you are now, we all wrote BECE, but listening to advice and some encouragements, we are where we are now," he cited.
