We Will Support You - GNCLBBOA To Private Lotto Operators, Others

The President of the Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents, Mr. Frank Adjei has indicated his chamber’s readiness to support and work with Private Lotto Operators, Agents and Writers who will not be able to make the payment of the Licensing fees approved by the Board of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

According to a press statement issued and signed by Mr. Frank Adjei who has about 200 Lotto Agents, 170 Lotto Sub-Agents and over 150, 000 Lotto Writers across Ghana, Any group of people who will kicked against the registration and licensing fees prescribed by NLA Board for the operation of Banker to Banker Lotto business are Nation Wreckers “and we would like to entreat the media, Government and general public to ignore such groups and individuals”.

He said as good citizens of Ghana, they (Private lotto Operators) have to do everything possible to support Government with their licensing fees that would be used to develop the country. “ we know that no country can be developed without its citizenry paying their fair levies and taxes prescribed by the laws of that country. That is the reason we have embrthe licensing fees introduced by the National Lottery Authority Board,” He added.

Mr. Frank Adjei noted that it is in that regard that the doors of Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents (GNCLBBLOA) have been opened to lotto operators, agents and writers who are ready to work for them (GNCLBBLOA) but are unable to pay the prescribed licensing fees approved by the Board of NLA. “ We will assist such operators, agents and writers to pay their licensing fees to the NLA and subsequently work With such operators, agents and writers across the country,” he stated.

He urged the Board of NLA, Security Agencies and the Government to take immediate actions on a petition filled against some Nigerians, Chinese and other foreign nationals who have invaded the operations of private lotto business in Ghana.

“We have laws that prohibit foreign nationals from engaging in any form of lotto business operations in Ghana yet these recalcitrant Nigerians, Chinese and nationals have disobeyed our laws and have invaded the lotto business in our country. We are calling on the National Lottery Authority to deal drastically with these foreign nationals flouting our laws in our own country’’, he appealed.

The President commended Mr. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) for his new innovations that has modernized the operations of Lotto business in Ghana.

“We commend the Director-General ,Mr. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw for the opportunity given Banker to Banker Lotto Operators, Agents and Writers to be registered and licensed under a PPP initiative, Scrapping off taxes on lotto wins, Introducing NLA owned Platform and Implementing the E-Kiosk project which are all evident of his new innovations brought to the National Lottery Authority,” Mr. Frank Adjei concluded.
