Integrity Of Anas Video Has Been Compromised--Inusah Fuseini

Ranking Member of Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee of Parliament, Honourable Alhaji Inusah Fusseini, has said that the integrity of the yet to be aired number 12 documentary by Ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw has been compromised following the viewing by the President of the country, His Exellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.

Speaking to Class FM, the experienced Lawyer who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central disclosed that the President should not have had the Privilege to watch the Number 12 video which has been tagged as explosive before it was release for the public to watch.

“The President has no right of Privilege to view the clip before it is aired to the General Public”, he stated.

The President of the Republic after watching the Documentary, forwarded a complaint to the Criminal Investigations Department to look into the matter involving President of the Ghana Football Association on charges of Defrauding by false Pretense. The FA boss has since then been picked up by the CID for investigations before being granted bail.

Honorable Inusah Fusseini adds that giving His Exellency the opportunity to watch the clip before it is aired for the general public raises problems ethically and as such that should not have happened.

He also believes that the President’s decision to forward the matter to the CID for Nyantakyi to be arrested is a preemptive action because nobody knows what is in the video except those who have had the privilege of watching the clip.

“The President is acting on the content of a video that we don’t know of. If the President Pleas that Nyantakyi used his name for inappropriate purposes why didn’t he confront him with the evidence that he has seen on the video before taking the decision”? He asked rhetorically.
