Dr. Amoako Tuffuor honours NPP Grassroots

Dr. Kwame Amoako Tuffuor, a founding father and a stalwart of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a memorable party for the NPP’s grassroots on Saturday 20 January 2018 at Hotel Ojampa in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana.

Dr. Amoako Tuffuor believes in the power and the capabilities of the grassroots of the NPP and has been honouring them with an annual party for years. There was plenty of food, drinks, and music. Dr. K. Gyasi’s Band played live music and featured the one and only Agya Koo as a guest artistes.

H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana graced the occasion. In a speech, the President expressed his gratitude to the voters in the Ashanti Region adding that he couldn’t have won the elections in 2016 without their overwhelming support. He admonished Party members to eschew backbiting, divisiveness, and anything that would promote internal strife.

The Ashanti Regional Minister and the executive members of the NPP in the Ashanti Region also were there to lend their support.

After the merrymaking, Dr. Amoako Tuffuor spent time with the grassroots, listening to their concerns and inputs.

The grassroots finally expressed their gratitude to Dr. Amoako Tuffuor and asked for God’s blessings and long life for him.

Everyone went home happy.
