Beposo Community Receives Support From MP In Cash Donation And Street Lights

Hon. Kwame Asafu-Adjei, Member of Parliament for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo Constituency, has donated GHC3,000 to support ongoing rehabilitation of the Beposo Police station and five 150W led Street lights valued GH 5,000 to the Beposo community.

Speaking at the ceremony, the MP assured the people that the necessary steps is being taken for the implementation of One District One Factory programme and other social government interventions in the Sekyere Central District.

Nana Boamah Kwabi IV, the Paramount Chief of Beposo Traditional Area lauded the government for the bold steps to implement the Free SHS programme in the country.

The chief mentioned inadequate dormitories, classrooms, recreational facilities and staff accommodation as some of the major challenges facing new schools like the Beposo Islamic SHS and appealed to the government, the Sekyere Central District Assembly and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) for help.

He expressed concerned about the undue delay of construction of the Beposo-Wioso seven kilometre road which was awarded for contract in 2008 but abandoned after change of governmen and pleaded with the Minister of Roads and Highways to intervene.
