Court fines taxi drivers for failing to produce licence

Sekondi, May 17, GNA - A Sekondi District Magistrate's Court on Tuesday fined three taxi drivers 400,000 cedis each for failing to produce their Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA) driving licence. The drivers are Victor Okine, Kofi Bentil and Nana Kwame and they all pleaded guilty.

The court ordered that half of the fine when paid should be given to the SAEMA.

Prosecuting, Sergeant Christina Ashon, a SAEMA City Guard, said the drivers were arrested at various areas in the metropolis during an operation mounted by SAEMA Task Force.
