A Closer Look at the Trotro Fridays (TTF) Everyone is Talking About

For a while now, social media has been buzzing over Trotro Fridays (TTF). It has been the trend on Fridays, which is bringing life into the boarding of trotro/shuttle. We spoke to the Chief Organiser of TTF, Abed Awuah Gyau, who offered us an insight into the whole campaign.

According to him, it is an educational program aimed at motivating the public to patronize transport in Ghana. Being an educational campaign, it has kick-started on University Campuses and the patronage is already huge.

To be a part, take a selfie in a shuttle/trotro and upload it on social media with a hash-tag #trotroFriday on Fridays. The TTF team will select a picture to be given an award every week.

Awards range from providing coupons to cater for shuttle fares, airtime and shopping vouchers. Every now and then, TTF will book a date with various winners to be on one trotro bus, provide snacks and ride on any of the major routes.

"TTF is here to stay and our trotro lives just got better", Abed noted.
