Two Robbers Shot Dead By Gang Mates In Kumasi

Two suspected armed robbers have been shot and killed by their gang mates in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

The two were killed Thursday morning after they led the police to their armory at Affutuogya following their arrest.

According to Ultimate FM’s Frema Boakye, the gang opened fire on the Police and their arrested gang mates after they were returning from the armory-location search. Several weapons were retrieved by the Police after the search.

The bodies of the deceased robbers were put on display for identification at the Ashanti regional Police headquarters, Boakye added.

The Ashanti region has suffered a number of robbery attacks in recent times leading to the death of a police officer and many civilians.
