Photos: Rawlings' mourn with Mahama
The family of the former President of Ghana, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings has joined dozens of mourners to sympathise with President John Dramani Mahama following the loss of his mother, Hajia Abiba Nneba.
Accompanied by his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, daughter, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, cousins, Michael Agbotui Soussoudis, Cann-Tamakloe and John Blagogee, the former first family joined President Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama for a brief Islamic ceremony held at their Accra residence, Thursday, June 16.
National Chief Imam, Sheik Nuhu Sharabutu presided over the ceremony.
President Mahama’s mother died on Tuesday, June 14 at the SSNIT Hospital. She will be buried on Friday, June 17 at Busunu in the West Gonja District.
