The Tainted Blood Of Christ

To taint is to spoil, tarnish, adulterated, contaminate, pollute, infect, ruin, destroy, soil, etc something. Today all I seek to do is to pose a question, Are we celebrating Easter?

THE TAINTED BLOOD OF GOD.
Most of religious festivals have lost their true meaning and worth. Most people have tainted the true meaning of these days. Notable amongst such religious festivals are the Christmas season which celebrates the birth of Christ and Easter, which remembers the death of Christ and its benefits to Christians.

Are these festivals celebrated as they ought to be? Though Christians celebrate these festivals, a few percentage of them go to Church on these days to celebrate the birth and death of Christ. The few percentage who go also go with their swim suits, club attires, alcohol and etc in the booth of their cars to celebrate after. Is this the true essence of these festivals?

Are we to solemnly reminisce on the sufferings of Christ so as to turn a new leaf while working on our salvation or we are to behave like the pig who soils himself up immediately it is bathed?

Easter is to reminisce on the death of Christ and to celebrate the liberation and blessings the death of Christ brought unto Christians yet these same Christians spearhead the adulterous, alcoholism, etc activities that these sacred events have been turned into.

Perhaps, if these festivals were celebrated as they ought to be, teenage pregnancies which hike after the celebrations, horrific accidents which occur as a result of careless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol and etc which happen during these festive seasons will be minimized if not curbed.

Let us live and celebrate the true meaning of these sacred days just as they ought to be celebrated and enjoy the benefits that come with them.
