The Witches Dance; The Case Of Roland, YEA And Gov't

If we could all remember President John Mahama's stern decision to cancel some questionable Gyeeda contracts by Roland Agambire of the Agams group of companies some time last year,a decision that received an overwhelming support from all well meaning Ghanaians.

We don't have to also lose sight of recommendations led by the committee that was headed by Ferdinard Gunn and had Tuinese Edward Amuzu, Randolph Nsor-Ambala, Kwami Edem Senanu and Mike K.Gabah as members to investigate the mal-administration and misappropriation of funds in Gyeeda.

One of the rot uncovered by the committee was that In 2013 RLG, a subsidiary company of Agams group of companies was paid GH¢25.5 million to train 15,000 youth in ICT. It trained only 4,222 youth, less than one-third of that number.

According to the committee's report the amount wrongfully paid to the AGAMS Group totalled about GHc55 million for no work done.

Rumours popping-up shows that the Agams Group of Roland Agambire have been tipped to run the newly constituted YEA(formerly Gyeeda) again with a whole lot of credibility issues surrounding their necks.

Are we at the cross road? Is it that the youth need jobs but we are constrained with the financial muscle to fund those institutions that will create those jobs? So we have been forced to dance the "witches dance";You dance forward you loose your father,if you dance backward you loose your mother.well what is the state of his 10bn hope city project?

As a country we must clearly spell out our priorities in order to always get things right. This is the government whose ideologies and interest are akin to mine.

The activities of the Agams group in Gyeeda years back have painted the government as corrupt which shouldn't have been the case.

The name "ROLAND" stinks corruption in our Ghanaian body politics and I urge my government to allow it die off.
