Suhuyini: My Aim Is To Transform Tamale North

The former Radio Gold Morning Show host Alhassan Suhuyini says his aim is to transform the Tamale North constituency if he is elected Member of Parliament in the 2016 elections.

Suhuyini who won the seat in Saturday’s NDC parliamentary and presidential primaries polled over 4,000 votes to beat his closest contender Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam who had 2,740 of total votes cast.

The other candidates including Alhaji Abukari Sumani had 1,158, Alhaji Nabila Mohammed, 54, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Mahama, 200, Dr. Abdulai Baba Salifu, 230, and Mr. Alhassan Kamal-Deen Mohammed, 442 votes.

Speaking on Morning Starr Monday, Suhuyini told host Nii Arday Clegg that his good message and development helped him win the primary on Saturday.

“I believe I had a good message of unity and development that the people bought into,” Suhuyini said adding “the MP who previously held it has done his best but I hope I can bring that transformational change that is needed.”

The former Broadcast Journalist added that “unity is very important...the constituency was lost to an independent candidate the last time because of divisions.”
