New permanent representative of Seychelles presents credentials to Director-General of United Nations office at Geneva

Selby Pillay, the new Permanent Representative of Seychelles to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Mr. Pillay will concurrently be serving as Ambassador of Seychelles to Belgium and to the Netherlands. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Pillay had been serving as Principal Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Seychelles to the United Nations in New York from 2011 to 2014. A career diplomat, Mr. Pillay has held various posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles, including as Director General of the International Relations Division (2010 to 2011), and Director General of the Multilateral Affairs Division (2007 to 2010). Mr. Pillay was born on 7 March, 1963 in Mahe, Seychelles. He is married with two children.
