Amazing Aubameyang reaches 23 goals for season

Paris (AFP) - A remarkable Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal run continued at the weekend with his 23rd of the season in all competitions for Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

However, the late goal from the Gabon striker could not prevent a 3-1 defeat at Hamburg, leaving second-place Borussia eight points adrift of Bayern Munich.

Ghana midfielder Andre 'Dede' Ayew scored a cheeky back-heel goal to trigger a comeback that earned Swansea City a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

ENGLAND

ANDRE AYEW (Swansea City)

Ayew scored a delightful goal and won a penalty as Swansea came from 2-0 down to rescue a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth. The Ghana star sounded the revolt in the 28th minute with a clever back-heel finish -- his sixth goal of the campaign -- and then won the penalty from which Jonjo Shelvey scored the equaliser six minutes before half-time.

RIYAD MAHREZ (Leicester City)

Algerian winger Mahrez registered his sixth assist of the season as Leicester won 3-0 at Newcastle United to supplant Manchester City as Premier League leaders. A menace throughout, Mahrez created a 62nd-minute goal for Leonardo Ulloa with a measured cross from the right that the unmarked Argentine met with a crashing header.

YAYA TOURE (Manchester City)

Toure endured one of the most ignominious evenings of his City career as he was substituted at half-time of his side's 4-1 home defeat by Liverpool. Slow to the ball and careless in possession, the giant Ivorian was castigated by his own fans before making way for Fernandinho.

AROUNA KONE (Everton)

Ivorian forward Kone played his part as Everton strolled to a classy 4-0 victory over bottom club Aston Villa at Goodison Park. His most telling contribution occurred in the 42nd minute when his challenge on Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan resulted in the ball rolling free for Ross Barkley to tuck away his second goal of the game and Everton's third.

ALEX SONG (West Ham United)

There was little for West Ham's fans to cheer during their side's 4-1 defeat at London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, but they did at least see Song make his first appearance of the campaign after undergoing ankle surgery. The former Cameroon midfielder, who announced his international retirement earlier this year, came on for the last 10 minutes in place of Mark Noble.

SPAIN

ZOUHAIR FEDDAL (Levante)

Morocco defender Zeddal starred with a goal and an assist in Levante's 3-0 win at Sporting Gijon. Zeddal bundled home from close range before squaring for Devyerson to seal just the visitors' second win of the season.

ISAAC SUCCESS (Granada)

Ghanaian striker Success netted his third goal of the season to help Granada move out the relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.

ITALY

KHOUMA BABACAR (Fiorentina)

Babacar has been playing second fiddle to fellow striker Nikola Kalinic since the Croatian hit a purple patch for La Viola, but despite a frustrating first half at home to Empoli on what was a rare start for the Senegalese, he played a role as La Viola fought back to claim a share of the points. Kalinic came off the bench for the start of the second half and hit a brace in the space of five minutes, his second goal coming courtesy of Babacar's drive across goal from the right flank. Fiorentina spurned a series of late chances to settle for a 2-2 draw that left them third, two points behind Inter Milan.

EMMANUEL AGYEMANG BADU (Udinese)

New Sampdoria coach Vincenzo Montella was expected to drag the Blucerchiati out of their recent slumber but Agyemang Badu and Udinese had other ideas during the Genoa side's visit to the Friuli Stadium. Udinese had won only one home game this season but when Badu timed his run to perfection to blast the ball into the back of the net past Emiliano Viviano it was enough to hand the Ghanaian international the match winner.

FRANCE

BENJAMIN MOUKANDJO (Lorient)

The Cameroon international forward's outstanding campaign continued as he netted his 10th goal since signing for Lorient from Reims in the summer. It was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat at home to runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain but it did put him clear at the top of scorers' charts, one goal ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

SOULEYMANE CAMARA (Montpellier)

The Senegalese stalwart, 32, scored his 50th goal in France's top flight as Montpellier came from behind to beat Reims 3-1 and continue their good recent form. Camara, a title winner with Montpellier in 2012 and a League Cup winner with Monaco back in 2003, had to wait a long time to reach the landmark. His last Ligue 1 goal had come on November 23 last year.

JEAN-ARMEL KANA-BIYIK (Toulouse)

The France-born Cameroon defender, son of former Indomitable Lions player Andre Kana-Biyik and nephew of the great Francois Omam-Biyik, was sent off for lashing out at an opponent late in Toulouse's 2-0 defeat at Guingamp. Toulouse have not won since the opening weekend of the season and remain in the relegation zone.

JACQUES ZOUA (Gazelec Ajaccio)

Cameroon forward Zoua scored his second goal in as many games, an equaliser from the penalty spot as Gazelec Ajaccio came from behind to win 2-1 away to Corsican rivals Bastia. It was a fourth win on the bounce for a Gazelec side who had not previously won a game in the top flight, and it allowed them to climb out of the relegation zone.

GERMANY

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG (Borussia Dortmund)

The Gabon striker claimed his 15th goal in 13 league games in Borussia Dortmund's 3-1 defeat at Hamburg as his side finished the weekend eight points behind Bayern Munich in the German league table. Dortmund suffered only their second defeat of the season as Hamburg built a 3-0 lead before Aubameyang converted Adnan Januzaj's final pass in the dying stages for his 23rd goal of the season in all competitions. Aubameyang is the league's top scorer, one ahead of Bayern's Poland hot-shot Robert Lewandowski.

IBRAHIMA TRAORE (Borussia Moenchengladbach)

The Guinea winger opened the scoring in Borussia's 2-1 win at home to Hanover 96 which left them undefeated in their last eight league games -- then revealed how he has moved his family from Paris to Moenchengladbach. France-born Traore told how he has moved his mother and brother from Paris last week in the wake of the terror attacks. "My brother went through some really bad days and my mother no longer felt safe there," he said.
