Liberty Hospital Mortuary inaugurated

Akim Achiase (E/R) Sept 8, GNA - Liberty Hospital Mortuary has been inaugurated at Achiase in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region.

Nana Abrokwa Gyampem IV, the Chief of Aduasa who cut the tape for the inauguration, said the facility would go a long way to reduce the burden of the people who have to preserve their dead relatives at long distance mortuaries with its attendant high costs.

He urged Ghanaians to be active and hard working to help in the developmental efforts of the country.

Mr Eric Nkansah owner of the Mortuary told the Ghana News Agency in an interview said, the facility cost GH₵400,000.00 and it would accommodate 300 corpses.

Mr Osei Mensah, a Director of the Mortuary announced plans by the health facility to establishing a nursing training school and also provide a community hospital services.

He said this would help create job opportunities for the people and appealed to charitable organisations to assist to achieve the development aims.
