Goals from Osman Muntaka, Isaac Quansah and Prince Acquah wrapped up the impressive win for Lions before a packed crowd at the Kpando Park.
Striker Ahmed Toure scored from the spot in injury time to save some face for the reigning champions.
The win while boosting Heart of Lions' title credentials will definitely see pressure crank up on coach David Duncan as Kotoko will slide further down the league log.
