After Sarkodie: Who’s Next? It’s Flowking Stone!

There are four Hiplife eras in Ghana music, namely the Reggie Rockstone era (1994-1999), the Obrafour era (1999-2007), the Okyeame Kwame era (2007-2010) and the Sarkodie era (2010 till date). But I can proclaim with no shred of doubt that Flowking Stone is capable of overthrowing Sarkodie who is the king of GH Rap at the moment. And ever since Stone emerged with his extraordinary flow class in Hiplife but later got lost in it due to the stroke the half of Bradez, Kunta Kinte suffered; Sarkodie has tactically cemented his kingship in Hiplife.

Moreover, Sarkodie who is touted as the leading rapper in Africa today proudly wears the GH Rap crown and strives to safeguard his throne against any musical coup d’état. However, the magnificent comeback of Flowking Stone, Ghana´s foremost lyricist and a Ghanaian rapper extraordinaire must be a cause for embarrassment in Sarkodie´s camp notwithstanding the wide gap between these two rappers today. This is because the Flowking´s tracks released this year are aimed at repossessing his vast territories in Hiplife. And I believe that that would materialise soon.

Also, Flowking Stone has an enormous task to undertake in unseating Sarkodie, the incumbent king of GH Rap. I humbly advise Stone to strategise well with his management with respect to his brand value as a renowned Ghanaian rapper. He needs a dynamic, visionary and efficient team which would be made up of publicists, DJs, presenters and faithful fans. And he should always learn from Sarkodie´s shortcomings and keep him on his toes all in the name of healthy competition. Good luck, Flowking Stone!
