Today Is African Union (AU) Day!

It would be suicidal for the sons and daughters of mother Africa to desecrate the value of the AU Day. As a Ghanaian teenager, I have avowed my commitment to Pan-Africanism and to exude black consciousness as well. Black consciousness is the basic tool for and a foolproof way of addressing the myriad of African problems. Then we would gain a foothold in our continental life where we face our nemesis, neo-colonialism.

Also, the African masses and the leaders have managed to maintain a facade of black consciousness, so the west has always been derisive towards Africans. I am not hazarding a guess but that is the reality of the situation we are confronted with. Our avaricious politicians have compounded the plights of the African masses, and that is why many African masses now feel too enervated to resist hardships. That is contemporary Africa in this 21st century for you.

Moreover, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the African Personality of the Millennium said that: ´´I am an African not because I was born in Africa, but because Africa is born in me.´´ The African masses especially the youth must therefore live black consciousness and shun gross apathy which can cause the leaping of Kwame Nkrumah´s statues and his resurrection from the dead! Happy AU Day to all black Africans on earth!
