Ghana's System Is Condoning Alcoholism!

Alcoholism in Ghana today has been camouflaged with commercialism! The rate at which new alcoholic products are commercialised beats the imagination of many citizens concerned. And it is highly impossible to see or hear a set of adverts or commercials without the inclusion of alcoholic advertisements.

Also, the alcoholic industry appears to be highly productive in recent years because its output keeps increasing with the associated returns. Again, our system has accommodated alcoholism through the hypocrisy of the masses. We pretend to detest alcoholism, but we fancy alcoholic commercials seemingly oblivious of the adverse effects!

Moreover, the health of our labour force is being harmed by alcoholism to compound our low productivity. However, you have the right to engage in alcohol business, but we have an overriding responsibility to defend public safety which shields the interests of the people! And shall we prioritise profitability in alcohol business at the expense of public health?
