Ghana Gas To Lay Gas Pipelines From Atuabo To Tema

The Ghana Gas Company Limited says it has plans of constructing its own pipelines that will transport gas from Atuabo in the Western Region to Tema in the Greater Accra Region.

The Company says it will take about two years to lay the pipes. In the meantime, it will be relying on the West African Gas Pipeline to transport Gas from Atuabo to Tema which will take about six months to complete.

The Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Gas Company, Dr. George Adja Sipa Yankey told Atinka FM News in an exclusive interview that the project when completed will ensure constant gas supply from Atuabo to Tema to power various generators in order for Ghana to have constant power supply.

Dr. Sipa Yankey said the power crisis will be mitigated if the project is completed.

Dr Yankey maintained that the company is ready for the mass production of Gas this April as promised.
