Ejisu (Ash), Aug 3, GNA - A Magistrate Court at Ejisu has sentenced a 30-year-old mason to two years imprisonment for conspiracy and stealing a corn mill motor valued at 1.5 million cedis belonging to the Catholic Church at Donyina. Kwaku Paul pleaded guilty but his accomplice, a 30-year-old farmer, Kwabena Boateng, pleaded not guilty and was remanded to re-appear on August 15 while Atta Kwabena, the third accused person, was on the run.

Police Chief Inspector Ofori Takyi told the Court that on July 24, this year, the accused persons met under a tree behind the Church and conspired to steal the equipment. He said they removed the equipment and gave it to Atta Kwabena, the third accused person but someone spotted them and informed the Police. Boateng told the court that Kwaku Paul collected a sack from him and on following day informed him that he (Paul) had a corn mill motor for sale.
