Queen Mother Throws Her Weight Behind Asuogyaman DCE

Queenmother of the Akwamu Traditional area, Nana Afrakoma, has called it a bluff, allegations against the District Chief Executive of Asuogyaman District, Honourable Thomas Ampem Nyarko, to the efect that the DCE was engaged in sale of stool lands.

It would be recalled recently that the Queenmother of Senchi, Nana Efa Poakoah, last week accused the DCE of selling stool lands belonging to the Senchi Community as well tagging him as very rude and disrespectful.

But Nana Afrakoma in an interview with journalists at her residence in Akwamufie condemned the actions of her sub-chief and has cautioned all sub-chiefs to refrain from such actions.

She said the DCE has been collaborative and has great respect for the traditional authority which Odeneho Kwafo Akoto is the head.

She said Queenmothers in the area are not happy about the actions of their member and said there will be a meeting at the next "Akwasidae' to come to put matters to rest.

Nana Afrakoma, however, pledged their continuous support for the DCE with the hope that together the people of Akwamu and Asuogyaman would bring development.
