Christians commemorate the death of Jesus Christ

Evangelical Presbyterian Church

Accra, April 18, GNA - Christians in Ghana have joined their counterparts around the world to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ.

Preaching on the topic: Dying for the Lord, Pastor Philip Atsiago, of the Kaneshie Evangelical Presbyterian Church, encouraged Christians to use the season to show concern to each other and extend helping hands to those in difficulty.

He said: Do good and show love to one another during this Easter festivities, he said.

Pastor Atsiago said the death of Jesus Christ on the cross was to address the sins of mankind for salvation.

The gap between mankind and God has been bridged as a result of the death of Christ, he added.

He said Christians need to be patient in times of difficulties and wait upon the Lord for answers, indicating that Jesus exercised a great deal of patience in the time of suffering.

Christians believe that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ brought salvation to all mankind.
