Pro- and anti-Morsi protesters clash in Egypt

CAIRO (AFP) - Clashes erupted in Cairo's Tahrir Square Friday as supporters and opponents of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi tried to wrest control of the iconic square in rival rallies, an AFP journalist reported.

At least 10 people were wounded as protesters showered stones at each other, a hospital official told the official MENA news agency, in some of the worst violence over the country's new Islamist leader.
