Assemblymembers to intercept timber trucks

Begoro (E/R), Oct 9, GNA- Members of the Fanteakwa District Assembly have resolved that all timber trucks plying the Akwansrem-Begoro road should be intercepted.

The Assembly members noted that the poor nature of the road posed danger to other traffic users and lives, adding that despite several warnings, drivers of timber trucks ply the road with impunity.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive, Mr Ebenezer Ofoe Ceasar has called on the leadership of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to remove all abandoned vehicles along the road side at Begoro and called for a stop to the washing of vehicles at unauthorised places.
