42 children born at three health institutions in C/R in Christmas

Winneba (C/R) Dec. 27, GNA- A total of 42 children, made up of 26 boys and 16 girls were delivered at three health institutions in the Central Region during the Christmas festivities.

The Institutions are the Winneba Government Hospital, Kasoa Health Centre and the Apam Catholic Hospital.

The Principal Midwifery Officer, Philomena Annan and Madam Henrietta Koram, Staff Midwife at the Winneba Government hospital told the Ghana News Agency (GNA)) that a total of 15 births were recorded during the festivities.

Madam Gifty Dodo, Senior Midwife Officer at the Maternity Ward at the Kasoa Health Centre told the GNA that 20 births were recorded.

She said five girls and four boys were born on Christmas Day while 11 boys were delivered on Boxing Day.

At the Apam Catholic Hospital, Mrs Grace Buabeng, Senior Midwifery Officer at the maternity ward said a total of seven births, made up of four boys and three girls were recorded.
