• Obama and wife, Michelle, arrive at the Kotoka International Airport on Friday night. They will be met by President Mills and other high-ranking government officials.

• Obama and Mills to hold consultations shortly after arrival on Friday night.

• Obama and Mills to have a breakfast meeting on Saturday morning.

• Obama and Michelle to visit the La Polyclinic after breakfast on Saturday morning.

• Obama addresses specially invited guests at the Accra International Conference Centre where he is expected to make a major policy statement on Africa. Function to be telecast live.

• Obama leaves Accra for Cape Coast and visits the palace of the Oguaa Omanhen, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, who will sit in state with his sub-chiefs.

• Oguaa chiefs to honour Mrs Obama with the title of queen.

• Obama visits Cape Coast Castle.
