Ghanaians asked to continue to pray for good governance
Rev Manfred Mawuena Fiakpui, head
pastor of the Global Evangelical Church in Tamale, has appealed to
Ghanaians to continue to pray for the country's leaders for wisdom to
get Ghana out of its economic hardships.
He said Ghanaians offered special prayers for peace to prevail
before, during and after the last December election which materialized
and needed the same commitment to pray for the leadership.
Rev Fiakpui said this on Sunday when he delivered the sermon to
mark Palm Sunday, Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem
He said Jesus died on the cross to cleanse the sins of mankind and
stressed the need for all to emulate Christ's patience and to be kind to
one another to ensure that lasting peace.
Rev Fiakpui led the congregation to pray for President John Atta
Mills and his ministers and advised them to work as a team.
He said the humility and the Christ in President Mills and Vice
President John Mahama was an indication that the country would be
united and asked Ghanaians to support them.
