Farmer kills neighbour and commits suicide

A 40-year-old farmer, Patrick Agyemang on Sunday killed his friend Kwabena Asamoah 39, at Kyekyewere, near Nyinahin in Atwima Mponua District and later committed suicide.

The incidents occurred in the afternoon after both had had lunch and were relaxing when a misunderstanding ensued between them.

Police Sergeant Daniel Owusu of Nyinahin Police, briefing Ghana News Agency on the incident said Agyemang who became furious went into his room, brought a gun and shot Asamoah on the head killing him instantly.

He said Agyemang sensing danger shot himself.
Police Sergeant Owusu said the corpses had been deposited at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi for autopsy.
