Dormaa residents undertake massive clean-up exercise

Residents of Dormaa–Ahenkro on Tuesday embarked on a massive clean–up exercise to rid the community of filth and prevent the outbreak and spread of diseases.

Led by staff of Dormaa Municipal office of Zoomlion Company, and the Municipal Sanitary Inspectorate, the residents including school children swept and burnt garbage and distil choked gutters.

Martin Yeboah, Municipal Sanitation Officer, told the Ghana News Agency that the exercise would be sustained and ensured that the culture of cleanliness was encouraged among the people.

He lauded the active participation of the people and urged them to keep the spirit up.

Mr Yeboah also thanked Zoomlion, the Municipal Assembly, and members of the Dormaa branch of Tailors and Dressmakers Association of Ghana and Hairdressers Associations for their role in the exercise.
