Ghana Honours India Minister

The President of Ghana, Mr J. A Kufuor conferred on the Minister for External Affairs of India, Mr Anand Sharma, a State honour last Tuesday in Accra.

Mr Sharma was given the 'Companion of the Volta', in recognition of his commitment to South-South co-operation.

President Kufour stated that the award was to deepen the economic development and cooperation relations between Ghana and India.

Mr Sharma thanked the President for the gesture.
