NPP Sends Woman Wild
LOVE FOR the New Patriotic Party (NPP) nearly sent a woman going naked at Krofrom in the Manhyia constituency of the Ashanti region on Tuesday morning following a visit to her house by the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
A scene was created when the woman, covered with soap lather, rushed from the bathroom just to catch a glimpse of Dr. Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, who was on a house-to-house campaign tour.
The euphoric woman, believed to be in her late 20s, dashed from the bathroom with a small towel around her body to greet Dr. Prempeh, upon learning that he had come to her house.
In a joyous mood, the woman shook hands with Napo, after which she exclaimed, “You are too handsome, I will vote for you and your flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo,” adding, “we are moving forward”.
The lady noted that since the NPP took over the administration of the country, her life had improved tremendously, stressing the need for the electorate to give the ruling party the mandate to continue with its good works.
Napo, who was stunned by the development, laughed uncontrollably, after which he pleaded with the woman to go and continue with her bath.
The people present, mostly staunch NPP supporters, were equally shocked about the spectacle and also giggled.
In an interview with DAILY GUIDE , Napo stated that his aim of embarking on the house-to-house campaign was “to help NPP win at least 95 percent of the total votes in the constituency.”
He indicated that the house-to-house campaign which he embarks on twice daily, in the morning and evening, would end on December 4, by which time he would have toured every nook and cranny of the constituency.
Napo pointed out that he was ready to go the extra mile by campaigning rigorously to ensure Nana Akufo-Addo got the largest number of votes in the Manhyia constituency.
He expressed delight at the seriousness party members in the constituency were attaching to the campaign strategy, but warned them against complacency, saying, “we will not stop until Nana Addo becomes president of Ghana in the coming polls”.
Napo indicated that the house-to-house campaign had afforded him the opportunity to know most of the challenges facing the electorate, and added that “this time, the people have told me their problems”.
Touched by the warm reception given him at the places he had so far toured, the NPP parliamentary candidate promised to do everything within his power to transform the lives of the populace if he wins the parliamentary election. He entreated the electorate to vote massively for the NPP because “it has a proven record that it can manage the affairs of the country to the admiration of all”.
