Among other things, the training is expected to raise awareness and deepen knowledge among journalists about the structure, functioning and implications of the new regional security architecture in the framework of the AU.

The training will also focus on the linkage of the security architecture to other sub-regional, regional and global organisations; the opportunities and challenges of conflict prevention, resolution and post-conflict peace-building.
