Today is International Day against FGM

The Inter-African Committee(IAC) on traditional practices against women and children has called on the media to help educate people on the harmful effects of Female Genital Mutilation, (FGM). This is contained in a statement by the Executive Director of IAC, Mrs. Berhane Ras-Work to mark the Fifth Anniversary of the International Day on zero tolerance of GM which falls today.
