President's Convoy Involves in an Accident

The Presidential convoy, with H.E. President J.A. Kufuor on board was this morning involved in an accident on the Airport 37 Road in Accra.

The convoy was office-bound when the incident occurred. The President escaped unhurt.

A Press Release issed by Mr Andrew Awuni, Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson , said the President was later examined by his medical officers and was declared fit for duty.

'The Presidency acknowledges the anxiety that the media break might have caused and wishes to emphasize that the President is doing fine,' the statement stressed.
