MP urges Muslims not to discriminate in the education of their children

Mr Balado Kwaku Manu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano South has urged Muslim parents not to have any prejudices against girl-child education.

Mr Manu gave the advice at Mankranso in the Ahafo-Ano South district at the weekend when he presented 10 bags of cement to the Muslim community to facilitate the construction of a school block.

He appealed to the youth to eschew violence and other negative acts that would tarnish the image of the Muslim community.

He commended the community for co-existing peacefully with other Muslim sects in the area and urged them to keep it up and live as one people with a common destiny.

The construction of the school was the initiative of the community and is being funded through personal contributions.
