Ghana@50 goes to Washington

The Ghana@50 celebrations continue in America this week with Ghana's ambassador to the US, Dr Kwame Edusei hosting a Golden Jubilee Dinner in Washington DC.

As part of the Washington celebrations, the government of Ghana will honour the original members of the US delegation which attended the Independence Day festivities on March 6, 1957 by presenting posthumous awards to their descendants.

That delegation was led by Vice President Richard Nixon and included Rev Martin Luther King Jnr.

The Washington Jubilee Dinner to be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel will also showcase Ghana's rich culture and music.
